Mill City Olympic and Sprint Triathlon
The annual Mill City Triathlon takes place every summer along the banks of the Merrimack River in historic Lowell, Massachusetts. A skyline shaped by old brick mill buildings and cobblestone streets weaved with canals, Lowell is known as the cradle of the American Industrial Revolution and is the birthplace of notable writers, artists, business men, politicians, actors and athletes such as Jack Kerouac, James Whistler, Milton Bradley, Bette Davis, Michael Chiklis, and Micky Ward.
Founded by Clair Cloutier and now managed by Dave Hardy, the Mill City Triathlon is celebrating its fourteenth year! This year’s race will feature both an Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon, as well Aquabike and 3-Person Relay events.
Dave Hardy – Race Director
This is Dave’s third year as Race Director for the Mill City Triathlon. Dave in an accomplished athlete having competed in over 400 road race and triathlon events including the completion of an Ironman.
Clair Cloutier – Race Founder
The founder of this event, Claire Cloutier, dedicated an incredible amount of time and effort to this race since its inception. Claire passed away in 2016 and is greatly missed. We carry on this event in her honor.
